Just announced: Rockstar is a WINNER in the 11th Annual Great American Song Contest (Top 5 in Special Music category)! It was beat out by a song about Santa bringing valentines. Oh well!

I guess this song just had to be written. It was one of those that I channeled in about 2 minutes. It's all about how AMAZING you are. Already, with no fancy outside sheen or stuff or whatever, just the you that's already inside. The you that is me that is we (see We Are Stardust ;-) I guess this is something of a sequel to Super Hero from Rock Your Socks Off, since the other point of this song is that you can Save The Day by singing your song and being yourself. It's that simple, and that's all it takes, nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you to Robert Plant for inspiring the uh-huh wails in the chorus. Thank you to Daryn's and my kids for testifying to their rock-solid, shiny natures. Thank you to Daryn for suggesting that "gajillion" be spelled with a "j" rather than two "g's". Thank you to Velvet for that cool patch we found for the magic breakdown in the middle.
