This is the third in a series of songs that re-interpret children's nursery rhymes in a funky wordplay driven way (first came Hey Diddle Diddle on PB&JAM, then Partner Dance aka Ring Around the Rosie on Rock Your Socks Off). Kids in my classes LOVE the dance that goes along with this one, and the silliness of all the things we're doing to the boat OTHER than rowing it, and of course they love to freeze at the "stop" parts. Also, it's an homage to the wonders of life and our journey through it. And it's got a really funky groove, don't you think?
